LaLa.com has become an everyday visit now for the past few months. When I hear a song that I really like, I’ll pop open LaLa and listen to it, and lots of times I’ll listen to the artists whole CD. Their catalog seems to have grown substantially in the last year or so and you can find most anything you search for. Highly recommended for all you tunes addicts! Here is a song I heard today by a band called Discovery, it’s called So Insane. Quite catchy with a beat that speeds up and slows down and caught my interest. Check it out:

Mixcloud is a unique way to make your own mix of songs and or vocals. Actually you could post whatever you want in your mixcloud. What makes mixcloud unique is that they take care of all the legal aspects. So including copyrighted material isn’t a problem. Or at least for now it isn’t. So, I gave it a shot, and I like it. I plan on using this service quite a bit actually. I will post my mixclouds here when I make them. For now, here is the first:

I guess this is as good a place as any to start. Tonight I opened my e-mail and was greeted with a gem. Always nice to get something that makes you happy, right? Well, I’m listening to this concert from the infamous King biscuit Flower Hour. Used to listen to it quite frequently in my high school days. That was the 70′s and it was one of the few ways we could listen to a wide variety of artists. Here is a link to the show itself: King Biscuit Records But the show I’m listening to right now is Lou Reed at the Bottom Line in NYC 1977. This was about 2 years after I saw him live. A Place To Gather Information About Music On the Web

This may be a bit of a selfish blog. I’ll tell you why. I’m a tunes addict, hence the name. I spend alot of time on the internet looking for ways to listen to music on the web. Believe me, as you probably already know there are alot of different methods. This site will hopefully become a place where I can remember and perhaps help others get a handle on different ways to enjoy music on the web. If you enjoy it, I’d love to hear from you and of course always listen to your suggestions, because I know you will have favorite ways and sites that we all can learn from as well. Welcome aboard!
